Level II University Master
The Second-Level Specialising Master’s Programme in Andrology provides highly specialised training in male reproductive and sexual health through an integrated theoretical and practical approach, in accordance with ministerial provisions and University regulations.
The programme covers biology, genetics, embryology, psychology and nutrition, as well as laboratory and instrumental diagnostics. This knowledge is applied to reproductive pathophysiology, medical and surgical andrology, and the causes and treatment of testicular endocrine insufficiency and related complications. The programme also addresses sexually transmitted diseases and gender incongruence.
Students develop advanced clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic and management skills for the multidisciplinary care of patients. The programme prepares them for independent professional practice as andrologists in a range of settings, including outpatient clinics and public and private hospitals.
The objective is to train specialists capable of managing male sexual and reproductive health from a holistic perspective, taking account of prevention, treatment and the role of healthy lifestyle habits, including diet and physical activity.
Graduates of the Second-Level Specialising Master’s Programme may pursue careers in public and private healthcare facilities, reproductive medicine centres, specialist outpatient clinics, research institutions and private practice. Access to these roles is subject to the qualifications and requirements set out in current legislation.
