Confucius Institutes are cultural institutions established in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, a university in the host city abroad and a Chinese university.
The Confucius Institute of Enna was founded in 2016 by the University of Enna “Kore” and the Dalian Foreign Languages University. It promotes Chinese language courses at all levels, for children and adults, aimed at obtaining international Chinese language certifications (HSK, HSKK, YCT, BCT), through exams that it conducts on site.
The Institute is also dedicated to promoting the teaching of Chinese language and culture in the territory in schools of all levels, from nursery and primary schools to university, and promotes training activities in Italy and China for Chinese teachers. staff is composed of local teachers, graduates in Chinese language and culture, and Chinese teachers specialized in teaching Chinese to foreigners through training courses conducted in China and on site.
The language teaching activity is accompanied by an intense and varied cultural activity for the diffusion of knowledge of the Chinese world: from conferences dedicated to the different aspects of Chinese culture, society, current events and history, to classical and contemporary music concerts, shows and exhibitions.
