Environmental and Infrastructure Risk Engineering

The course

The degree course represents the first step in the training of the environmental and civil engineer and has two addresses that aim at the mitigation of environmental risks and the management of civil infrastructures.
The course starts with a solid training in the basic sciences; subsequently, students are introduced to courses that define a basic engineering preparation, based on the cultural cornerstones of the sector (among others, in the hydraulic, geotechnical and structural fields).
The third year, with the two specializations, characterizes the student in the environmental sector, climate change, pollution mitigation, energy sustainability, or in the civil infrastructure sector, addressing the problems of construction and maintenance of large works. Regardless of the specializations, students receive complete training in prevention and protection from risks in the workplace, with the possibility of acquiring the relevant certificate.
