The essential purpose of the Department and of the Degree Courses that belong to it concerns the personal, professional and scientific training of students and is inspired by the values of humanism, classicism, education and training, conceived as horizons of reference and as regulatory principles in the planning and implementation of cultural, social, political and economic processes.
The training offered is based on the adequate and modern functioning of the structures and services. The development of scientific and professional skills relies on the effective organization of the Degree Courses, on the motivation and competence of the teachers involved, on stable forms of tutoring, on the use of advanced teaching technologies, innovative forms of teaching and on rigorous lines of research.
Particular attention is paid, within the Department and all related Degree Courses, to international relations also through mobility projects planned both for students (for example the Erasmus Project) and for teachers and researchers.
