    Library system

    Kore University of Enna

With 1000 seats and almost 10,000 square meters, the Library of the University of Enna "Kore" offers a university book heritage consisting of scientific books and journals, ebooks, electronic journals and databases for research. But there is much more: study rooms, workstations with computer, 600 bag lockers, courses on how to carry out bibliographic research or compile a bibliography, interlibrary loan and Document Delivery.
All these services are free for UNIKORE students.

    The library

The Library is the visible heart of the University Library System, the building that dominates the University Square, which also overlooks the Rectorate.

In fact, in addition to the large library complex that has become a representative icon of the entire Kore University, the University Library System is divided into a series of services that go beyond the traditional library resources and integrates ancient models, current models and above all future models.

The Library is the meeting point for all UKE students, its professors and researchers, who can take advantage of particularly comfortable environments suitable for individual study or, in special rooms, also for groups, always with the assistance of the specialized staff who work there.

An advanced computer system, which presides over the management of each individual volume of the library's holdings and the reading stations themselves, allows you to access the Library in complete autonomy. With the same complete autonomy, if you wish, you can take books for loan directly using the appropriate self-service desks, obtaining the appropriate receipts and the possibility of crossing the anti-shoplifting exit gates without problems.

The supply of books, journals and digital resources is constantly updated. Each UKE teacher can report a need for new acquisitions directly via email to the University Library System, which usually takes care of it in a few days.

All textbooks included in the transparency sheets are present in the Library.

    Electronic resources

The UKE Library System offers users the possibility of consulting organized collections of information on digital media (subscribed by the University) of various types: bibliographic, factual, full-text databases, reference works, repertoires; collections of laws, maxims and sentences; entire collections of periodicals, with a prevalent scientific content; collections of full-text digital books (e-books), open access resources.

Several digital resources, identified by professors for their scientific validity and usefulness for study and research, can be consulted free of charge in web. In any case, most digital resources can be consulted via Internet from any workstation connected to the University network.

Institutional users, students, teachers and staff, can consult the electronic resources for which the University has stipulated specific subscriptions also from external networks, using the EzProxy service.

Some digital resources can be consulted only at the Library, in relation to any contractual access limitations (limited maximum number of simultaneous users, password requirement, subscriptions with limited use licenses).
