Locations and facilities

The Citadel mainly houses the central offices of the governing bodies and the offices, main services and teaching activities of the Departments of Economic and Legal Sciences, Human and Social Sciences, Classical, Linguistic and Educational Studies. The degree course in Architecture is also held in the Citadel.

The Citadel includes the University Library, a valuable architectural structure which, together with the particular University square, has become an identifying symbol of Kore University.

The Santa Panasia Science and Technology Center hosts the entire Department of Engineering and Architecture, with its degree courses and its Research Centers and Laboratories. The Biomedical Laboratories are also located in this campus, as well as some teaching activities of the Department of Medicine and Surgery.

The Santa Panasia Science and Technology Center - necessarily located in a low-urbanization area - is accessed from a special roundabout located at the beginning of the state road that leads from Enna to Caltanissetta

Kore University of Enna has a powerful program of student residences for hundreds of beds, both in Enna Bassa and Enna Alta and in the village Pergusa, where a residence with 56 beds is already operational. An additional residence is being set up.

Due to its specific training, the Department or School of Medicine makes use of both teaching and scientific facilities in Enna and of a territorial training network that involves a large part of central and south-eastern Sicily, both for the optimal development of student training and for the exercise of healthcare and research activities of the teachers who carry them out at public and private hospital facilities.

Currently, the training network of Medicine includes operational units in health facilities in Enna, Catania, Ragusa, Syracuse, and is continually expanding. The training network of the Medical Specialization Schools is even larger.

The creation of the university campus in the complex of the Umberto I Hospital in Enna aims to facilitate the healthcare activities of medical teachers, the internship activities of students of the Department of Medicine and Surgery and the medical specialization activities of specialists attending the UKE Medical Specialization Schools.

The campus on the hospital grounds was opened in 2024. Due to the growing needs of the University's School of Medicine, the campus is currently undergoing further expansion.

The Umberto I Hospital of Enna is considered a University Reference Hospital as established in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Sicilian Region and the Kore University of Enna.

The Kore University of Enna has a representative office in Syracuse, in the central Piazza Archimede on the island of Ortigia.

In Syracuse - the fourth largest city in Sicily, with a history spanning several thousand years - since 2016, UKE has been carrying out intense activity in the development of international research networks in all the fields in which the Kore University of Enna is involved.

Syracuse is also home to educational activities of specific industrial engineering interest with a decidedly environmental vocation (thanks to collaborations between the UKE and several particularly advanced production complexes active in the Syracuse area) and in the area of training for teachers and school system staff.

The presence of a representative office of the Kore University of Enna makes Syracuse a particularly attractive university hub for master, advanced training and for international conferences of particular scientific value in all the areas covered by the UKE.
