Since 2008, Kore University of Enna has been part of the highest representative body of Italian universities, the CRUI (Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities) , since 2006 of the CRUS (Regional Coordination Committee of Sicilian Universities), of which it held the presidency for over 10 years, and since 2020 of the EUA (European University Association).
Kore University of Enna adheres to various networks of universities for specific national and international missions. Among the many, it is a member of the Compostela network and of CINI.
The University and its courses of study are accredited by ANVUR (National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System) , which systematically verifies the existence of international and national quality standards of the institution and its activities, on the basis of which the Minister of University and Research issues the relevant accreditation provisions.
The University's Environmental Health Engineering Laboratory (LISA) is accredited by ACCREDIA, the Italian body authorized to certify the competence and impartiality of certification, inspection, verification and validation bodies, and testing and calibration laboratories.
With decree 1831 published today on the MUR website, Minister Anna Maria Bernini has awarded accreditation to the Kore University of Enna for the maximum period permitted and with a “satisfactory” rating for the quality requirements for over half of the rigorous evaluation criteria developed according to the European standard.
The accreditation was granted on the basis of a compliant opinion from the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (Anvurs), which by law verifies the operating conditions of all Italian universities every five years.
The judgment given to Kore was flattering, in particular for the adequacy of its equipment and technologies, with positive evaluations for the architecture of the governance system, for the participatory role attributed to students, for all aspects relating to the teaching and scientific structures and infrastructures, for the management of information and knowledge, for the management of the quality assurance system and the functioning of the related bodies.
With this result, Kore can continue its development programs without any limitations until 2029, when the third accreditation cycle will be started by law, which in Italy has a maximum duration of five years.
The University of Enna is the first in Sicily to receive accreditation according to the new Ava3 evaluation system launched in 2023 by Anvur, which has so far seen 15 Italian universities evaluated, 11 of which have obtained the same rating as Kore; among these Camerino, Perugia, Turin, Udine, Humanitas and Iulm in Milan. Only the Polytechnic of Turin has obtained a higher rating, however always for a duration of five years.
“Great satisfaction” is expressed by the academic, government and administrative bodies of the University of Enna, which in 2015, when the European evaluation system was introduced, had initially received accreditation for a limited period of three years. This time the judgment was based on the visit to Enna of a special commission of experts and thanks to the documentation produced by the university.
