The laboratory

The Kore University BEhavioral (KUBE) Lab:
  • pursues basic research activities on learning processes in a theoretical-scientific framework inspired by modern Behavior Analysis
  • pursues applied research activities in a theoretical-scientific framework inspired by Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Clinical Behavior Analysis (CBA)
  • offers services aimed at implementing ABA-based and CBA-based interventions to schools and companies.
  • disseminates the results achieved through periodic publications and the organization and participation in conferences
  • collaborates with the University bodies in the organization of post-degree training courses and offers internship opportunities to students of the three-year and specialist courses in Psychology, of Master post-degree, for graduates in Psychology (LM classes) who need to carry out the post-degree internship in order to be able to access the state exam, as well as to students of post-degree Specialization Schools with a cognitive-behavioral focus.

Within the scope of its objectives, it carries out scientific research and consultancy, including applied research, at the request of other public or private, national and international bodies and organizations, in the fields of its scientific expertise.

In particular, the laboratory conducts research on language and cognition in autistic subjects or those with neurodevelopmental disorders, deals with the study of implicit cognition, the behavioral principles of behavioral economics and the applications of interventions based on behavioral sciences for the linguistic and cognitive rehabilitation of intellectual, learning and neurodevelopmental disorders. It also studies the clinical and non-clinical applications of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a third-generation cognitive behavioral therapy.
The laboratory also conducts research in the field of cardiology, and more generally in chronic pathologies, for the prevention of health risks through lifestyle modification.
